Saturday, October 22. Helvetia Day. Celebrate the day the first settlers arrived in Helvetia. All events are at the Star Band (Red) Hall.

• 4:00 p.m. Historical Walk. Travel the trail that the first settlers used.
• 5:00 p.m. Presentation on Helvetia History.
• 7:00 p.m. Folk songs and dances.
• 8:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. Square Dance and Cakewalk.

Thursday, October 27. Helvetia will be receiving the Traditions Award at the Grand Opening of the Folklife Center at Fairmont State University. There will be a display and some Helvetia representatives in costume. 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. http://www.fairmontstate.edu/folklife/

Saturday, October 29. Halloween Party at the Hutte. Buffet with ham, beans, corn bread, parslied potatoes, salad, and more from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. followed by karaoke and a costume contest. $15 per person. Reservations appreciated.
