Helvetia Historic Trail

Service Description

A two and a half mile hike from the Helvetia Star Band Hall down Main Street to Old Helvetia Road will lead you to the historic trail. Hiking up the mountain beyond the cemetery you will reach a switch back just before the peak (find the old grapevine and the "Historic Trail" wayfinding sign) to turn left and head up further toward a private farm. At that point, you will begin your one mile descent along a wooded path back to downtown Helvetia. You will return to the village from behind the church and come down Zumbach Road to Main Street. There, you go left to return to the Star Band Hall. We hope you enjoy the trail. And please let us know if any new fallen trees block the trail. Volunteers are ready to clear the way for your enjoyment.
